Here is a beautiful home, on a big block and in a great location, which also offers EPIC development options too. This is the all-round awesome opportunity you have been waiting for!
Before we go inside, let's take a quick look at the neighbourhood. Number 16 Durham way is just a VERY short walk away from Centro Forrestfield Shopping Center and the Foothills Medical Group, while also being a still pretty short distance from Forrestfield Primary School, Hartfield Park, Hartfield Golf Club, the upgraded Lincoln Road Reserve and the STUNNING Lesmurdie Falls National Park! The location rocks!
The home sits on a whopping 809sqm block, zoned R25/40, and with extremely good side access. So there is not only some great development options but there are also options to retain the exist house too. And retain it you should, because this is one gorgeous home.
Built around 1971 so it still managed to sneak in the very 1960's-esque solid floorboards throughout; probably one of the last of this era before the 1970's began demanding concrete floors (boring).
The home has had a kitchen and bathroom update in recent years, as well as an entire additional lounge room built onto the side (in not so recent years).
Here you will have some solar power and ducted evaporative air-conditioning for the toasty Perth summers. And if we ever manage to get a winter here in Perth again, you may get to use the central pot belly stove for some cozy fires too.
The backyard is huge and very beautiful! A full-length patio offers some great entertaining space for your future wild parties, and there are plenty of places to grow yummy things (and some established fruit trees already in position.)
Oh and there's a powered shed too for fun times building and tinkering.
What doesn't this place have you might ask, well the answer to that is… you. And we can soon fix that.
If this sounds like the place you want, it's time to call The Mitchell Brothers

Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of kalamunda and is 15 kilometres of the south-east of Perth. Local folklore suggests that the name comes from Charles Hale who settled here in 1902 and planted a crop amongst the trees. A neighbour referred to him wanting a forest and a field at the same time and the name was later applied to the area. A Forrest Field Progress Association was formed as early as 1927 and the name is shown on plans as Forrestfield for 1944.
Forrestfield is home to the Hartfield Park Recreation Centre which includes an indoor stadium for various sports, an 18-hole golf course, equestrian centre, nature park and lake. The main shopping centre known as the 'Forrestfield Forum and Marketplace' is home to 52 stores. There are a range of other retail establishments scattered throughout the area.
There are also a range of primary and secondary schools in the area and construction is currently underway on the Forrestfield-Airport Link which is scheduled to open in 2021 and will connect Perth Airport with the city. A Forrestfield train station is included in this development.
